지식경제부 산하 60여개 공공기관이 올 하반기 중 총 550여 명의 고졸 신입사원을 채용키로 했다. 기관별 채용 계획을 살펴보면 한국수력원자력이 300명으로 가장 많고, 우체국시설관리지원단 60명, 한국전력공사 33명 이상, 한국건설기술연구원 33명, 한전KDN 20명 등이다. 또 동서발전은 기계, 전기, 정보통신 등의 직군에서 신규 인력 30%를 고졸 인력으로 채우기로 했다. 현재 지경부 산하 60개 공공기관의 고줄 출신 근무 인력은 전체의 22% 수준이다. 지경부 산하 공공기관은 이밖에도 오는 2014년까지 3600여 명의 고졸 청년들을 신규로 채용할 계획이다.
